Do or Die

Vanderbilt, the number 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, has its back against the wall after a 4-3 loss last night to the Michigan Wolverines. As Mo Patton writes in today's Tennessean, Vanderbilt was not without opportunities to score as they stranded 11 runners through nine innings. Vanderbilt but the lead-off man on in 5 of 8 innings, stranded runners in scoring position in five separate innings, and had 2 different players picked-off. While Coach Tim Corbin was trying to be optimistic after the game, saying that Vanderbilt might be "pressing a bit," but that they will "click" as Mo writes in his Tennessean blog, such a do or die game like the one(s) Vanderbilt faces today (and hopefully tomorrow) will truly be a "New Experience" for the Commies. Brett Hait's got a recap in the City Paper as well.

Vanderbilt will take on Austin Peay today at 3 eastern, with the winner to take on Michigan at 8 eastern. To follow along with today's games, both on Live Stats and to hear Joe Fisher's call, click here.

Depending on how the day goes, VSL may or may not be live blogging throughout the day. Regardless, keep checking back, if you're reading this now, chances are you don't have that much to do anyway.
