Stallings not going to Iowa...

ESPN.com's Andy Katz is reporting that Butler head coach Todd Lickliter will be introduced tomorrow as Iowa's next head coach. With Arkansas and Iowa hiring coaches today, the only openings of note left are Kentucky and Michigan. Fox Sports is reporting that West Virginia coach John Beilein will be introduced as early as Wednesday as the new coach at Michigan. While Kentucky is still out there, I think Billy boy will take his second national title to Lexington.

The fact that Stallings was offered the job and turned it down has to make you feel good as a Commie about what he thinks this team and program are capable of. With that said, I honestly think Stallings is biding his time for Kansas. Bill Self's unhappiness with the Kansas AD is, at this point, pretty well documented. I think I read on vandysports.com that Stallings continues to keep up relations with people in Lawrence and is well regarded from his time on Roy Williams' staff. When Self leaves, don't expect Stallings to turn them down if offered.

Another season, another series of rumors about CKS' imminent departure. Maybe he likes Nashville and Vanderbilt more than he lets on.
