The Commies remained Number 1 in both the Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association polls. After a stumble by the Tar Heels squad over the weekend, the Commies jumped up to Number 2 in both the Baseball America.com and Rivals.com polls. The Gamecocks are No. 1 in both polls. The Commies travel to Columbia 3/30-4/1 for what will be a great series.
The Commies haven't been truly tested since the first weekend of the season when they beat Arizona State and Rice, however, that will soon change when they open SEC play against Ole Miss 3/16.
The Commies are currently ranked above powerhouse programs (in no particular order) such as: Miami, Texas, Cal State Fullerton, FSU, Rice, Alabama, and Arizona State.
