Commies Beat Cocks!

In an insanely bizarre game where we shot 11 of 16 from 3-point range in the first half and then gave up a 17-point lead in the second while rushing the offense and chucking up threes, Vandy pulled out a 99-90 OVERTIME win against the Gamecocks in Columbia. This clinches second place in the SEC East and a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament for Vanderbilt.

Shan Foster had a career-high 33 points and that kept the Dores alive. Derrick Byars was MIA until overtime, when he hit two huge three-pointers in succession on the way to scoring 8 of his 18 total points.

Tre Kelley, USC's disgusting SEC Player of the Year candidate, lit us up for 32 points and the Cocks played an excellent game. Ultimately good free throw shooting down the stretch and a season-high 16 three-pointers (most in the SEC this season) brought the game home for the Commies.

A win is a win, and we'll take this one. Stallings' first 20-win regular season, 10-6 in SEC play heading into our final home game against Arkansas, and poised to get a great seed in the NCAA Tournament--a lot of exciting things to talk about, and more to come later.

PLEASE NOTE: WHOEVER IS THE 10,000th VISITOR TO THIS WEBSITE, LEAVE A COMMENT AND WE'LL GIVE YOU SOME SORT OF CRAPPY PRIZE. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT AND INTEREST. GO COMMIES.

I'm #9999....I guess I could be an ass and just hit "reload," but I'd prefer to avoid a nomination for hoser of the week.
