'Dores Make Bacon Out Of The Razorbacks

The Lady Commies dominated Arkansas 98-61 last night at Memorial. The rout was led by sophomore Christina Wirth, who had a career-high 24 points. More impressive than the point total is the way she scored, that is, by missing only one shot the entire game. She was 10-11 from the field, as well as 4-4 from behind the arc.

Carla Thomas also had a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards for Vandy, while Caroline Williams scored 15 and Dee Davis had 13 with seven assists. Williams was 3-3 on threes for the evening.

Vanderbilt's defense was exceptional as well. The Commies held Arkansas to just 30% from the field while they were an unreal 62% themselves, including 69% from three-point range.

The team's next game will be against Ole Miss on Sunday and will be televised on Fox Sports South at 1:30 p.m. CT.
